Hi! Great suggestion about the AP33772S. I'll look into it! Thanks! |

I think adding support for 28V USB-PD would be a nice addition for AxxSolder. With 140W chargers that are becoming more common you could power C245 cartridges with the same power compared to the original station using PWM to stay below 5A. The STUSB4500 controller needs to be swapped to something like AP33772S and maybe an other ideal diode MosFET with more than 30V Vds isn't a bad idea. Other than tweaking the resistor voltage divider for input voltage measurement of coarse the rest should be fine in my opinion.
The AP33772S also supports USB-PD AVS (Adjustable Voltage Supply ) and its lower voltage counterpart PPS (Programmable Cpower Supply) witch cloud be used to request a variable voltage in 200mV increments from compatible PSUs (Like the Framework 180W USB-C Charger). That could be interesting to lighten the load on the internal MosFET but to stay compatible to non AVS/PPS supplies (the vast majority) that may not be worth the extra effort. Just wanted to mention it.
Keep up the great work, best regards from Germany.
