Describe the bug

Just opened heroic on my Fedora 42 KDE.

I was previously logged in.

When i try to relogin, the page just throws out the error in title.
IF i click the "open in browser" button, i get to my logged in page on epic. Then i get some captcha to drag some icons over the "map", and then get tossed to the same page.

The Epic login issues have been numerous with the latest release. My understanding is that it's been fixed already, but they haven't made a new hotfix release with it yet. I don't remember all of them offhand, but I do remember few workarounds people have brought up in other issue reports:

Using the Alternate login method
downgrading to v2.16.0 (this personally worked for me)
use the build here: fix: change user-agent at runtime #4478

I use the flagrant version btw and have this error for a while now. On my PC it worked fine but on my Laptop neither refreshing the Page nor using Google to log in worked.

Alternative login that seem to work:

Manage Account -> Alternative Login for epic -> open in browser -> Login -> copy the auth code back to heroic.
After the login, i had to restart heroic to make it work.

How does it work? I couldn't find the portal you mentioned in Epic Launcher or Heroic Games Launcher.

in heroic, left side there is "manage account"

Alternative login that seem to work:
Manage Account -> Alternative Login for epic -> open in browser -> Login -> copy the auth code back to heroic. After the login, i had to restart heroic to make it work.

I know what you're saying, but there's no menu.

Buddy if you see in the window there's a second option for Epic Launcher. After that your web browser will open and you'll be asked to login. From there you'll see a bunch of text with a authorization number. Select that text copy and paste back in Heroic.

I'm having this issue as well. Things I have tried:

Manage accounts -> Epic log in -> log in with steam account. This has always been my login method and has worked in the past. This fails, it indefinitely spins the interstitial and never logs in. Eventually returns to login modal.
Alternative login method. I past the correct code (as displayed in the help tooltip). It appears to time out, probably spins for about 2 minutes. This says "try another code".

I'm fairly certain this is a bug with the launcher. In my browser I am logged in the epic game store in the tab next to the one I'm opening the json with auth code.
