Poppler utils not installed... but it is indeed installed

I have a problem with LibreSign. I've already installed poppler utils into my host machine:

user@server:~$ sudo apt install poppler-utils
[sudo] password for user:

Reading state information... Done
poppler-utils is already the newest version (24.02.0-1ubuntu9.4).
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 4 not upgraded.

I tried:

• Restarting ALL nextcloud containers.
• Restarting docker.

Running Nextcloud Hub 10 (31.0.4)

Nothing changed. The warning still shown. How can I solve this? Thanks...

The command which return the path of a command. LibreSign use which pdfsig to identify if the binary pdfsig (part of poppler-utils) exists. If the return is empty, consider that poppler-utils wasn't installed.

You talked that you are using Docker and commonly we don't use the sudo command inside a docker container. Are you installing poppler-utils inside your container or at your host machine?

Hello sir. No, I didn't installed inside a container. I have Nextcloud AIO installed and installed LibreSign using Nextcloud's Apps list.
I installed Poppler in the HOST MACHINE where Nextcloud AIO and thus LibreSign are installed.

The reason I mentioned I restarted docker is for (maybe?) nextcloud aio is not connecting well to host machine. I don't know, just in case, but nothing worked.

So the command user@server:~$ sudo apt install poppler-utils was ran in the host machine, not inside nextcloud aio container.

If I manually execute this command:

user@server:~$ which pdfsig
/usr/bin/pdfsig

So don't know why LibreSign is not getting it!

The Nextcloud AIO is a container and you need to install Poppler inside the container.

Then LibreSign does not detect it? You can see it is available: https://pkgs.alpinelinux.org/package/v3.21/main/x86_64/poppler

You need to add the poppler-utils to your Docker image. The image of Nextcloud AIO don't contains the poppler-utils. You will need add this package to this image.

Installing at your host machine don't will solve the requirement because Docker is an isolated environment and haven't access to binaries at your host machine.

I recommend to create a Dockerfile adding the Nextcloud AIO as FROM of your Dockerfile and after this, add the poppler-utils package.

Add -env NEXTCLOUD_ADDITIONAL_APKS="poppler-utils dependency2 dependency3" to your Nextcloud AIO command.
