source of check_http

what is the source of the check_http plugin? Unfortunately the one provided by monitoring-plugins-basic on ubuntu does not support the args

check_http is not part of the Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins collection (although we plan to port it to Python and implement some new features).

yes, I noticed that. Because dumb me prepared everything on the master instead of the release and now it got my attention :) That's why I am asking about the current source if it's externally available currently.

• for RHEL: the check is from the nagios plugins project. On RHEL (and compatibles) you can install the nagios-plugins-http package.
• for Debian: the check is from the monitoring plugins project. You can install the monitoring-plugins-basic package.

Just wanted to add, it's true that for debian the package is monitoring-plugins-basic but the check there does not allow the arguments given by the command cmd-check-url from all-the-rest.json as per my initial comment.

The debian versions seem to be based on https://github.com/monitoring-plugins/monitoring-plugins/blob/master/plugins/check_http.c while RHEL is based on https://github.com/nagios-plugins/nagios-plugins/blob/master/plugins/check_http.c which i.e. has the longopts for {"uri", required_argument, 0, 'u'},

This means this check is not compatible with debian based systems using the monitoring-plugins-basic package
