Graph with null values (They are important too)

I've been exploring many alternatives to solve this problem but I couldn't find any solution. I want to graph a quarterly times series that sometimes have null values (not 0), I am looking for a feature that allow me to show data in this kind of way (or similar):

@Zamalloa design requests are rarely accepted, but I think this is something that should be added in some way. I'm adding this to the list.
