And basically all black:

A workaround is to drag the background blur slider to 0 which disables the effect and makes the backgrounds visible. So there is something in the background blur feature that makes it behave really badly in opengl mode. If a fix isn't found a workaround would be at least to force the blur to off when in OpenGL mode.
