This issue is a placeholder to collect and identify the inventory for a SWH-Story.
@emulatingkat has agreed to add the metadata into Wikidata and create links with the items on the web.
We need someone from the Pisa team to upload the content (images, slides, videos, etc.) to Wikimedia commons.

Software Story: a visual representation in a linear story-line of the software in its context
a moment: a page in the story-line, i.e:

timeline
image
video
people
wikimedia gallery
map
publications (bookshelf)
wikidata properties
wikipedia page

Hi,
I have opened a subfolder in the Softi-Workbench to work on the Softi story.

In particular, I started to collect the metadata info in the SoftiStoryInventory file. It is still very preliminary... I'll open an issue as soon as it will be ready for a first round of comments, in a few days.

The reason for this comment is that I think we should discuss how to categorize the item uploaded to Commons. Should we introduce a new category per each legacy SWH repository that has a Story, as a subcategory of (at least) Historical software? We would have the following structure:

  • Software
    • History of software
      • Historical Software
        • Softi (new)
        • Taumus (new)

Or, we might add a new subcategory to Historical software, namely Historical software with SWH story, and have this structure:

  • Software
    • History of software
      • Historical Software
        • Historical software with a SWH-story (new)
          • Softi (new)
          • Taumus (new)

Category:Historical software with a SWH-story should also be a subcategory of another new category, namely SHW-stories, that I do not know where to place in the category hierarchy.

What do you think?
