IAM Roles Anywhere with SDK v2

When using v2 of the SDK, is it still necessary to have the credential_process type setup?

Reading the docs, both on AWS and the SDK Go Package, I get the feeling it should be possible without.

But I can't find a way to provide all the values to the SDK.
