"Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: window[this._namespace] is not a function" when starting a test on Mac using Cypress > v10

Anyone else seeing this in the Chrome Dev Tools console? Only happens with Chrome.

It is blocking the test from ever starting - just spins forever.

Consequently, I cannot upgrade Cypress beyond v10.10.0

My MacBook Pro is from 2019. Intel CPU. MacOS: Sonoma 14.5
Also happens on my Windows10 machine, so it does not appear to be platform specific - only browser specific, as I'm able to run in Firefox.
