improvement: ability to choose which folders to check for changes in

When I'm committing Wordpress changes, sometimes I want to use a different commit for plugins vs core changes vs themes, etc.

**Describe the solution you'd like**

A flag option to select the relative path to check for changes to the root project directory provided.
