DotNet memory consumption on Ubuntu

Can someone please help me why even the weather api default app that comes with web api project. Why unmanaged memory keeps increasing on it. Its weather api app no database, no DI, no EF nothing. What am I doing wrong if anything. I have checked with dotnet counters as well as Jetbrains dotMemory it is unmanaged memory

Can you provide more details to help investigation or explanation?

Basically, detailed OS and .NET version, the template used (ASP.NET mvc or min api?), and brief observation from diagnose tool.

For sure here are rest of the details:
1- Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
2- Dotnet 9.0.4
Version: 9.0.4
Architecture: x64
Commit: f57e6dc
RID: linux-x64
3- Its ASP.Net API controller, default weather api application
4- 1st observation Unmanaged memory keeps on increasing at low frequency like 0.2 mb without any activity
5- 2nd obeservation after I make 1000 or 10000 api calls memory will go from 60/70 mb to 106/110 mb but never goes back down, it will keep on increasing as mentioned in point 4.
