Mouse Doesn't Work Properly on MacOs

version 12.7 MacOs Monterey

Using the mouse.nim example, the terminal just outputs something like the following repeatedly:
Three
Five
Semicolon
Five
Seven
Semicolon
ShiftM

Using the minimal example, nothing is output into the terminal.

Same behavior and messages on linux. All mouse actions (clicks, movements, scroll wheel) are producing these same results.

A single left mouse click produces:
