There is no browser available in the snap version. That is, no external browser can be launched to view the help pages.
Maybe adding firefox or a different browser package can solve this.

Firefox has an issue: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1426478/snap-firefox-is-already-running-but-is-not-responding -- by adding it to the snap, only one help page can be visited. A restart of JGEX is needed to visit another page.
