"What's new" notification never goes away #6819

What happened

I logged in to our fresh 2.26 QA environment and saw the notification bubble in the navigation bar.

2024-09-10_16-26-11

I clicked on "What's new" multiple times and refreshed the page afterwards, but the round notification bubble still makes me think there is something new in the menu. Maybe this got corrupted when we removed the changelog?

Expected behavior

After the first click, the bubble should not be shown anymore. Maybe even the sparkles, idk.

How to reproduce

  1. Log-in to a recent KKP (dev or QA).
  2. Observe the notification, calling your attention.
  3. Click on all and any of the menu items.
  4. Notification bubble still shown as if there was more for me to do.
