Allow getting an `EventCategory` or an `EventStream` from the `EventLog`

Currently, the EventLog only allows scanning through events. However, for parity with EventCategory which allows narrowing to an EventStream it would be nice to be able to narrow the EventLog to an EventCategory or EventStream instance.
