As discussed in #3217, the ability to quickly switch your Cloudlog station logbook and/or location would be very helpful.

Below shows the overall UI design, search field behaviour, and then walkthrough video.

Scenario: the user wants to change their logbook and location quickly.

  • This would also work for scenario where users wants to change one of logbook, or location
  • Back text link is important to allow user to go backwards in the process if they need

2. UI Design

  1. User logs into Cloudlog

User logs on to Cloudlog and clicks on Logbook > Overview to see their logbook. Here the station is configured as Logbook and London - M5FDB. They click on change button.

  1. Change popups appear - choose logbook to activate

The station logbook list appears, showing the currently active logbook.

  1. User chooses the logbook they want to make active

The user clicks the logbook they want to make active, in this case IARU contest. They click Next.

The station location list appears, showing the currently active logbook.

The user clicks the logbook they want to make active, in this case Palma - EA6/EI8FDB. They click Set active.

  1. Changes have been made and are displayed

User is returned to the logbook overview.
