The_binding folder not showing up in Google photos

I have followed all the steps and my external drive shows up in my internal storage as the binding folder. I have transferred all my photos into it and yet nothing is showing up in the google photos app?! Is there any way to fix this?? Please help!

which device are you using? are you using fat32 or ext4? please show the terminal output from running the mounting commands.

I am using a rooted pixel XL marlin and an external 2tb fat32 SSD I will send a screenshot when I get back home. I ran all the commands like instructed and also got the expected outputs, everything was showing up on my internal storage in the binding folder just like I wanted it to. The problem is Google photos for some reason is not wanting to upload anything from that folder, I tried adding new photos to it and nothing happens. The binding folder is not showing up in google photos at all.

You need to force stop and restart Google Photos.

Wow thank you so much this worked!!

Now I am just having an issue with not all of my photos being recognized by Google Photos, I had 20k files on my SSD and only 17k are being uploaded I waited for it to see the folders on my device and its showing less than the actual number of photos for some reason. Do you know if there is any fix for this? I believe all the file formats are compatible with Google photos uploads.

Those files could be corrupted or already backed up to Google Photos, or both.
