[QUESTION]: Is there planned support for React 19?

I have a project which relies on React 19 and I want to be able to use the people picker component. Is there planned support for React 19? If so, what is the expected release window?

Thank you @CianGibbons for your question. MGT is currently on maintenance, prioritizing bug fixes and security issues and for now, there's no planned work to support React 19.

For anyone else who might stumble upon this issue: to make mgt-react work under React 19, all you have to do is replace the call to ReactDOM.render() inside handleTemplateRendered() in /dist/es6/Mgt.js with a call to createRoot(). Make sure to replace the old import with the new as well, like so:

import { createRoot } from 'react-dom/client';
// ...

export class Mgt extends Wc {
  // ...

  this.handleTemplateRendered = (e) => {
    // ...
    if (template) {
      template = React.cloneElement(template, { dataContext });

      const root = createRoot(element);
      root.render(template);
    }

If you use a package manager that supports patching, like Yarn or PNPM, you can do this fairly easy, e.g. (for PNPM):
