NeoForge projects are shown as either the default minecraft block (shown above) or the forge icon. It could be a bug

This happens when there multiple frameworks detected in the same module.
The Forge detection relies on the presence of a net.minecraftforge.fml.common.Mod class in one of the libraries, it's either that or you manually set Forge in the facet settings
