Dreamer firmware on Dremel 3D20 Board???

Hello,
I'm hoping to add a heated bed to my existing Dremel 3D20 and wanted to act as though it was simply a second extruder. I know that the core board is the same for both the FlashForge Dreamer and the Dremel 3D20 and wanted to make sure that, using the Dremel firmware updater, I would be able to update the firmware so that I am running Dreamer color UI firmware on my Dremel 3D20 machine. Then, I am hoping that with a second thermocouple input, gcode files could regulate this second "extruder" and keep the heated bed at proper temperature. Please help me understand if this is possible, as finding replacement parts is near impossible for such and old machine, and I don't want to brick anything.
