How to use gosmee with Pipelines as Code

This will be auto installed when using kubernetes but not enabled on Openshift since it will assume you have a connected cluster. If you are running on CRC you can apply this Gist :

Note :

• You need to replace the YOUR_RANDOM_URL by something truly random, i.e the url generated with https://smee.io/new
• If you are using downstream Pipelines as Code with the Openshift operator you need to change the target namespace where the controller is to openshift-pipelines, ie change line 32 to : "http://pipelines-as-code-controller.openshift-pipelines:8080",
• When you have set this up and you have the URL started you can go in your github apps settings in General->Webhook and change the Webhook URL to the smee one.

Debug

if nothing get kicked on check this in order :

1. Check if you have delivery that has kicked in your github apps delivery logs, by going to the github app settings and Advanced.
2. By checking the logs of the gosmee deployment: kubectl logs deployment/gosmee -n gosmee --all-containers
3. By checking the logs of the pipelines as code controller in openshift-pipelines (downstream install via operator) or pipelines-as-code (upstream):

# controller
kubectl logs deployment/pipelines-as-code-controller -n pipelines-as-code --all-containers

# watcher
kubectl logs deployment/pipelines-as-code-watcher -n pipelines-as-code --all-containers
