Adding an option to disable the touch screen in laptops in PopOS

It would be nice if there is an option to disable the touch screen in touch screen laptops in pop os.

You can disable it using xinput disable <device id>, but that is not stable cuz the device id changes after a while.

This would very helpful. My touchscreen screen keep detecting ghost touch and would be great do disable it.

This modification below should disable the touchscreen, but requires a bit of CLI editing and a system restart to take effect.

1. Use Vim (or any other text editor to modify a system file:

   $ sudo vim /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf
   

2. Find the section that begins with "touchscreen" and append this to the end of this section:

   Option "Ignore" "on"
   

This should still work while COSMIC is based on GNOME (and before it switches to being independent and Rust-based later this year in 2024), as the new COSMIC is based on Wayland and this only works on X11/Xorg.
