Is it possible to delete items of a bulleted list and move the remaining bullets up without repositioning the entire page?

Essentially this:

I was able to delete the text with apply_redactions, but it leaves leftover whitespace. I know I can delete the bullet point as well if I extend the rect's x position, but I get the sense that won't change the layout of the rest of the page

Would it be at all possible to remove that whitespace and move the bullet points (and by extension the rest of the text below the bullet points) up without using the rect to calculate the positioning of everything below the redacted text and reposition the text on a new page?
