Compatibility with older Operating Systems

Hey, I run a Linux Mint/Windows 7 dual-boot setup on my computer, but I couldn't help but notice that the Windows version wants to be downloaded through the Microsoft store, which Win7 lacks. I found a manual download link on GitHub, but installing that gives the error that "Revolt.exe is not a valid Win32 application". I don't see this being discussed anywhere else and cannot quite understand what a chat program does that necessitates only modern operating systems, especially when it seems the web app works fine.
This is not a particularly large issue for me, but some programs I have only run on Windows operating systems, and I'd like to continue staying in touch with my friends while I'm on one system and not the other.

Revolt's current desktop application uses Electron, which has dropped support for Windows 7/8/8.1. If you'd like to use Revolt on Windows 7 you can use https://app.revolt.chat in your browser.

We have no intent to support an operating system that is several years past discontinuation with multiple active CVEs.

Thank you for your consideration and work on the app that itself is barely more than a browser tab. I'll continue to use the browser version on Win7 and the app on Linux.

Electron itself isn't known for it's security either. I hope the rewrite with Tauri goes well.
