Can't upload photos in 10.1.1

On main page, tap "Photo" to create new photo post, tap "Choose File" button to upload.

Error: "Check permission in Settings"

Setting "Photos and Videos" permission for the app to "Always allow all" has no effect.

Version 10.0.12 works on my device.

Pixel 7 Pro, Android 14 build #AP2A.240905.003.

cannot enable photos under SS settings even though android 11 permission manager media "only selection", deny or media only options but media only selected

under SS settings the switch will not turn blue "enable". And when tapping image icon to upload says check permissions..

I figured it out. installed SlimFacebook.5.0.8, went to android settings/permission manager/ enabled media and files for SS, then installed SlimSocial_10.1.0+114, all is well.👍😁

in fact this is incorrect, it worked once. reverted to 5.0.8. sorry.

Sadly, this didn't work for me and tired setting permission in three different versions, but latest install butchers those options and Camera and Image Folder unavailable.

Newer update would be appreciated...

Sadly...this was never fixed. Maybe next version, but then who really knows.

That would fantastic and appreciated, so many issues for many make the latest version unusable

• login and permission issues (running previous version Slimsocial 5.0.8 Android OS 12 on my OnePlus 7 Pro that has less problems)
• Screen Content Display or Responsive issues (with Material Design or whatever Slimsocial is using) - Text, Videos, images

Much of these issues have been mentioned online in logs, but I'd love to help and can certainly contribute with testing.

Sadly...versions Slimsocial 25.04.06 (116) suggested Added on Apr 13, 2025 was supposed to fix these issues, but I pulled the trigger again and tried deleting 5.0.8 and installing fresh copy of the latest release, that allowed a few things like Permission (storage and camera) updates from Android OS, but it still fails with same errors since 10.1.x

Back to 5.0.8 and hopeful that markleigh can make some progress...

Great question and suspect lack of time and effort or experience. I don't have the experience to fix or even diagnose the problems directly, so who knows and unless the original/new developers chime in...we're kinda left in the dark.

Either way, I'd still rather use Slimsocial that doesn't have all of FB AI watching you features and constantly listening to what we say or do online through mobile.
