Opening a non-existent PDF shows loading forever

Put in some file path in the address bar to a PDF that does not exist. The result for me is PDF viewer with a "Loading..." spinner giving an impression that something is going on. Instead there should be a message that the file does not exist. (Or show the directory listing, but an error message is better, I think.)

Yes, I agree. My guess is it is waiting for the pdf to appear, but it would be better to have a message saying so...
