This would be really handy for situations where there are embedded images or complex layouts that don't extract to text. Then the image could be used to run through TesseractJS to do OCR.

I just want to create a thumbnail of a pdf by creating an image of the first page.

As much as I'd love to see this arrive in unpdf, the current workerd limitations make it impossible to run @napi-rs/canvas in a serverless environment.

I will keep this issue open if the technical landscapes changes in the following years. But for now, this is not possible.
