500 Internal Server Error after entering and deleting decimal in Slider Major and Minor Tick Spacing

Describe the bug

The bug causes a "500 Internal Server Error" when a user types a decimal value ("10.5") into the "Major Tick" input field and then deletes that value.

Reproduction

1. Type the decimal value "10.5" into the "Major Tick" input field.
2. Delete the entered value "10.5" from the "Major Tick" input field
