When there are incomplete equations, we should still render a placeholder column for it to avoid the situation where the column appears/disappears based on the equation being complete or not.

When there are incomplete equations, we should still render a placeholder column for it to avoid the situation where the column appears/disappears based on the equation being complete or not.
